Zaleha Abdullah – LINC 2016 Conference Speaker
Zaleha Abdullah is a Deputy Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, UTMLead, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
She is in charge of numbers of e-Learning project conducted at the university.
MIT BLOSSOMS initiative in Malaysia is one of the projects.
Through BLOSSOMS, Zaleha and her team have won numbers of International and national awards – I-PHEX 2015 (Gold medal);
NUCEL 2014 (Best Interactive Video Award and Gold medal), and was Shortlisted in the Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards 2015.
Zaleha is also a Deputy Chairman of the Malaysian e-Learning Council for Public Universities (MEIPTA). She is actively involved in research and projects of Higher Education under the Creative Technology Research Group (CITE). Her research interests and experience are in the area of creativity, Activity Theory, and online Learning. She also teaches design and technology programs to academic staff and postgraduate students. She holds a Ph.D degree in distance and online learning, and has previously worked in the design industry before joining the UTM.
