Vincent Zimmer – LINC 2016 Conference Speaker
Vincent Zimmer is managing director and Co-founder of Kiron, a social start up whose mission is to eliminate barriers for refugees to access higher education by charging no tuition fee and allowing enrollment based on performance.
Previously, Vincent was a serial entrepreneur who co-founded 5 international startups from Shanghai to Sao Paulo across diverse sectors such as healthcare and higher education. Besides, Vincent worked as a consultant for the evaluation of EU programs (Rambøll Management Consulting) and digitization (IFH).
Since 2012 Vincent is supporting student in crises regions via the NGO study without borders which provides scholarships to these students. Since 2009 he is a scholar of the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation and since 2015 a Scholar of the social impact Lab Berlin powered by SAP. He is a fellow of the Ludwig Erhard Foundation since 2014 and was awarded several prices for social impact by the AKB-foundation. He was selected as a responsible leader of the BMW Foundation in 2015 and was listed in Forbes 30 under 30 in 2015.
Vincent holds a Master in Int. Economics from Göttingen University and a Master in Public Policy (Distinction) from London School of Economics. He is a currently phd-student at Göttingen University.
